Laurie has the honor of serving as the President of the Dallas County Workforce Development Board - Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas. “Achieving competitive solutions FOR EMPLOYERS through quality people and FOR PEOPLE through quality jobs“ is the mission of this business-led and employer-responsive Board. Capping a career in employment programs spanning more than thirty years, Laurie has served the Board as the chief executive since 1996, and served as Executive Director of the preceding organization, the Private Industry Council of Dallas, Inc. beginning in 1989. Ms. Larrea has served three dynamic boards in Texas including Director of Programs for the Houston Job Training Partnership Council and Director of the Southeast Texas Employment and Training Program/PIC in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area. As a private employment and training consultant, Laurie‘s work included conference planning; procurement, negotiation and contract training; and planning for various councils and contractors - the Texas Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Labor.
An alumnus of Lamar University in Beaumont, Laurie earned a B.S. in Psychology with emphasis in Industrial Psychology. She is married to a workforce colleague, Robert and they have one son, Alex.

Linda K. Davis
Vice President, External Relations

|
| Linda K. Davis,
Vice President External Relations, is responsible for developing
and maintaining quality services, through contractor and stakeholder
partnerships, which meet the needs of employer customers.
Linda has an extensive background in employment and training
programs spanning more than 20 years. As an advocate
of business-driven service delivery systems, she has worked
at the state and national level on workforce development service
improvement strategies as well as creating multi-functional
high-performance teams.
Ms. Davis currently serves
as a member of the National Workforce Institute (NWI) Advisory
Committee and as an Examiner for the Texas Award for Performance
Excellence. She is past president of the Texas Workforce
Association, served as Secretary to the Texas Association
of Workforce Boards and as a Board Trustee for the USCM Workforce
Development Council. She recently acquired certification
as an NWI Certified Workforce Expert (CWE).

Connie Martinez
Vice President, Resource Development and Deployment

| As Vice President for Planning
& Resource Development, Connie is responsible for planning, procurement, contract development, resource development, and policies for workforce programs serving the Greater Dallas community. Connie has a strong commitment to providing quality programs/services to employers and job seekers with the goal of ensuring a highly skilled workforce for the Greater Dallas Area.
Connie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Baylor University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Mexico. She has more than sixteen years of progressively responsible experience with workforce programs. |

Marie Nguyen
Accounting Manager |

Marie Nguyen assists the Chief Financial Officer in all financial activities as an accounting manager. Her responsibilities include administrative accounting functions for all funds received and expended by the agency, analyzing financial information for preparation of Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas' annual tax return, the Independent Auditor's Reports in Accordance with OMB Circular A-133 and the Audited Financial Statements as required by the Texas Workforce Commission.
Marie has over 25 years of experience working in human services and workforce areas: 15 years with the state of Texas and over 10 years with non-governmental entities.
Marie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Van-Hanh University, Vietnam. She also attended graduate school at Dalat University in Vietnam and the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a Certified Workforce Expert in Finance from the National Workforce Institute.

Wesley Nute
Procurement Coordinator |

| Wesley is responsible
for procurement of all Board services and products exceeding
$25,000. He negotiates, develops and manages contracts for those
services and products, and approves vendors who provide occupational
skills training for the adult population in Dallas County.
During his tenure with the Board, he has
held the position of MIS Supervisor, program evaluator and
procurement specialist. Prior to joining the Board, Wesley
worked at East Texas Council of Government as Section Chief-Management
Services, Occupational Training and Economic Development Programs.
Wesley earned his BA in Political Science from UTA and Master's
Degree from UTA's School of Urban and Regional Affairs.

Richard Perez
Resource Development and Deployment - Manager |

Richard is currently the
Manager for Resource Development and Deployment and responsible
for planning workforce development programs, which include
performance management systems and grant writing.
Mr. Perez has worked as Planning/Information
Analyst Manager at the Tarrant County Work Advantage Board,
and has also worked as a Labor Market Analyst with the Texas
Workforce Commission.
Richard earned his Bachelor's Degree
in Business Administration from Texas A&M Kingsville and
has ten years of progressively responsible experience with
all aspects of workforce development and labor market information.

J. Michael Purcell,
CPA
Chief Financial Officer |

Mike Purcell, as Chief Financial
Officer, is responsible for all financial activities of Workforce
Solutions Greater Dallas. His responsibilities also include
budgeting and financial reporting to the Board of Directors.
In addition, he is responsible for the coordination and completion
of the Independent Auditor's Reports in Accordance with OMB
Circular A-133 and the Audited Financial Statements as required
by the Texas Workforce Commission.
Previously, Mr. Purcell practiced Public
Accounting in Abilene, Texas. His clientele included audits
of municipalities, school districts and other not-for-profit
organizations. He is a past President of the Abilene Chapter
of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Purcell earned his Bachelor of Business Degree in Accounting
from McMurry University in Abilene.

Randal Wier
Vice President, Quality Systems |

Randal Wier is Vice President,
Quality Systems and also serves Workforce Solutions Greater
Dallas as the Equal Opportunity Officer to investigate and
resolve customer complaints, including implementing the non-discrimination
and EO Provisions of Section 188 of the Workforce Investment
Act and 29 CFR 37.25. He is responsible for ensuring compliance
with federal regulations, state rules, and local policy and
also provides oversight for the organization’s quality
initiatives and the computer network systems.
Randal is a member of the Dallas Housing Authority’s
Family Self-Sufficiency Program Coordination Committee and
the DISD Adult Basic Education Advisory Committee, and previously
served on the Dallas Mayor’s 10-year Plan to End Homelessness
Task Force and as an Examiner for the Quality Texas Award
of Performance Excellence.
Randal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University
of Texas at Austin and later attended graduate school at Southern
Methodist University and St. Mary's University.
