On July 23rd, Dallas will welcome an exclusive, solutions-driven convening aimed at tackling one of the most urgent issues in workforce development: how to build clear, accessible career pathways for frontline workers to transition into high-growth, tech-enabled roles.

Hosted in collaboration with Burning Glass Institute, JFF, FSG, and Education Design Lab, and supported by Walmart, this cross-sector event brings together national thought leaders, local employers, community-based organizations, and workers themselves. The convening marks a pivotal step in advancing equitable economic mobility through intentional, data-informed collaboration.

Lynn Hoffman, Senior Innovation Manager at Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, will participate in the afternoon session titled: Elevate from Within: Scaling Opportunities for Frontline Employees. In a fireside chat with Andrea Riehl of Best Buy, Lynn will share key insights and best practices from successful public-private partnerships she has led, including PATHS for Texas and Retail Pays, as well as her broader experience designing and managing workforce innovation strategies across the region since 2018.

Thank you!

The session will explore:

· How leading employers are creating upward mobility for frontline workers

· What makes a promising career pathway

· Lessons learned from pilot initiatives and collaborative models

· The role of employers, CBOs, training providers, and workers in scaling sustainable solutions

While registration for the convening is now closed, the findings and strategies being shared present a valuable opportunity for the Dallas-Fort Worth region to pilot and shape promising practices in real-time. Local partners are encouraged to stay connected as this initiative unfolds, and to consider how their organizations might engage in future phases.

The convening is being designed to be interactive, engaging, and solution-oriented—featuring perspectives from employers, opportunity youth, and frontline workers.

This event reflects a growing momentum in North Texas to align systems, data, and employer investment around worker-centered, tech-forward workforce strategies. Lynn Hoffman’s participation underscores Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas’ leadership in this movement, and its commitment to expanding opportunity for all.
