October 2, 2025 was a great day for workforce development in Dallas County as Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, in partnership with Dallas County Judge Clay Lewis Jenkins, hosted the 8th Annual “You’re Hired Job Fest” at Gilley’s Dallas. With high energy, and inspiring conversations, the event brought together job seekers, employers, and community leaders for a day focused on career growth, opportunity, and hiring on the spot.

Opening Energy and Leadership

The event kicked off with enthusiasm as Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, WFSDallas Interim President and CEO Ashlee Verner, and Industry Communications Manager Steven Bridges welcomed attendees and energized the crowd. Their opening remarks set the tone for a day full of networking, interviews, and career wins.

 Over 50 Employers, Endless Opportunities

This year’s Job Fest featured over 50 employers across diverse industries including:

  • Logistics
  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Transportation
  • Manufacturing
  • Hospitality

Well-known employers such as Dallas Love Field Airport, City of Dallas, Coca-Cola, DART, Omni Hotel, and Dallas County Sheriff’s Department were in attendance, offering both career guidance and immediate job opportunities.

Offers on the Spot!

A unique and uplifting feature of the event: every time a bell rang, it signaled someone was offered a job on the spot. Employers were conducting interviews throughout the day, and many job seekers walked away with job offers in hand.

Competitive Wages & Benefits

Many positions offered at the event started at an average of $22/hour, with some roles reaching up to $104,000 annually. Some employers also offered tuition reimbursement and other valuable benefits packages.

A Community United for Workforce Growth

The “You’re Hired Job Fest” continues to prove that Dallas County is committed to connecting people with opportunity. With immediate hires, real-time interviews, and hundreds of hopeful job seekers walking out with new leads or even new jobs, this annual event is more than a job fair — it’s a launchpad for careers.

Thank you to all the employers, job seekers, and community leaders who made this event a success. We look forward to seeing even greater outcomes at next year’s event!
